Built on a hill with a view of the sea, the Rivero House uses a “vertical patio” defined by a free-form cutout in a single horizontal concrete roof to separate the public and private sections of the house. The design takes advantage of the terrain to orient the house toward the sea and offer shaded outdoor spaces.
